Madhuri Dixit

Madhuri dixit is a popular Indian actress best known for the films Beta Saajan and Hum Aapke Hain Koun and Beta Saajan. In the 80s, she began her acting career, and was famous for her role as Tezaab, in which she starred alongside the veteran actor Anil Kapooor. In the following film, she was a part of Aamir in Dil. In Mumbai, she was raised in a family of middle-class parents. At a very young age, she began to study dance. She started acting when young and fought for a few years as the majority of her first film projects were unsuccessful. Then she found her feet and went on to become one of the leading actors in the Indian film industry. After her marriage, she took an interruption in her career. The actress returned in later years. Recently, she was a key player in Gulaab Gang about Indian women. Dixit has received 15 Filmfare Awards nominations, of which, eight were awarded. Padma Shri was awarded to Dixit, the fourth most prestigious civil award in India. The award was also given to her by the social sector.
